The Beauty of Transformation and Why Now is the Best Time to Make a Transformation of Your Own

I felt guided to write about the process of transformation, not only because I believe that this information is really important right now, but because having gone through my own transformation recently, I feel that I can see the value and appreciate fully the process of going from a state of depression, pain and suffering to a state where I feel like I am fully aligning with my soul’s purpose. Looking back on how I felt a year ago or even a few months ago to how I feel now, the difference is astounding and I can see however difficult it was to experience that pain, it has actually been instrumental in getting me to where I am now. Sometimes when things go very wrong in our lives and we find ourselves in a very unhappy place then we can look at our lives and decide what we don’t want and what we do want and from there we can make a choice on how we want to proceed.

It has been put forth by many that our society will soon go through a paradigm shift and that what we are experiencing in the world right now is a period of ‘the dark night of the soul’, sort of like the ‘all is lost’ feeling before a major transformation takes place. David Wilcock is one researcher that has gone to great lengths to demonstrate that this will occur in possibly the near future. His books The Source Field Investigations, The Synchronicity Key and The Ascension Mysteries reveal that the idea of a golden age of humanity has been prophesised by many different ancient cultures and that there are certain cosmic cycles that the universe goes through every 26 000 years where a sort of energetic ‘upgrade’ takes place throughout our galaxy. If you wish to read more about that you can read about it here.

The reason why I am discussing this right now is because I believe that at this current moment we are going through the dark before the dawn and are currently about to have a major transformation on a global scale. I believe that right now we must use this time effectively and wisely to heal whatever wounds and addictions that need to be healed. I feel that it is of the utmost importance at this time to use this period of the dark night of the soul for optimal spiritual growth. If Wilcock and others are right then it is possible that soon the world might change dramatically and that this period of darkness and confusion might hopefully soon be over. However, whilst we are still on the verge of this paradigm shift I believe it would be wise to use this time as effectively as we can and use this experience to become the best version of ourselves that we can possibly be.

The experience of transformation is I believe one of the most beautiful experiences possible to have. It is like a leap of faith. At the time it is painful and difficult and in order to complete the process many things need to be released and let go of. You are often faced with a choice: do you confront your problems or do you carry on in ignorance? To take the road of light almost feels impossible and a grieving process often needs to take place before any progress can be made but when that choice is made and you start walking down that path, things can start to feel a little bit better.

I feel it is important to talk about the idea of the ‘hero’s journey’ here. Joseph Campbell was one of many academics who helped to construct the idea of the hero’s journey by looking at religious and mythological tales such as the ones of Buddha and Jesus. He noted that these stories had a similar structure where the hero (the person that the story primarily focuses on) goes on some sort of adventure or journey (departure) then faces an adversary of some kind or comes across some sort of obstacle that the hero must conquer (initiation) and then once the hero is victorious he eventually returns home a wiser and more mature version of himself (return).

When discussing spiritual transformation, the hero’s journey becomes very relevant because this is a cycle that we all experience in our every day lives and I believe are currently experiencing on a global scale at this moment as well. Wilcock describes this process in his book The Synchronicity Key as ‘The Book of Life’. He writes

“Each soul is going through cycles of joy and despair… The Wheel of Karma is not at all random. There is a very precise series of experiences – a great story – that we all keep repeating, over and over again, from lifetime to lifetime, until we master it. This story is written into all the world’s greatest mythologies, and it also appears in the cycles of historical events.”

I believe that there really is immense beauty in an experience such as this. Especially when you look back on painful episodes of your life and see the progress you have made. Not only this, but there is something so beautiful about taking that leap of faith, shedding what needs to be shed and taking a sharp change of direction in your life. As Wilcock discusses, this is a story repeated over and over again and interestingly is the most popular narrative structure that Hollywood uses for blockbuster movies. Why? Because humanity identifies with this story on an subconscious level.

If we really are on the verge of massive global changes and an energetic shift then it would be wise to use this time to do as much inner work and spiritual growth as we can. What’s more, the global events that are occurring at this time are a reflection of our inner world and our shared collective consciousness. If each of us do what we need to do to become a more loving and compassionate individual, this will ultimately be reflected in our outer world and will inevitably spread throughout our society.

Scientist Rupert Sheldrake, through his research, believes that all things in nature whether they be people, plants or animals share a collective memory that is unique to their individual species. This he calls Morphic Resonance and he explains it in this way:

“The fields organizing the activity of the nervous system are likewise inherited through morphic resonance, conveying a collective, instinctive memory. Each individual both draws upon and contributes to the collective memory of the species. This means that new patterns of behaviour can spread more rapidly than would otherwise be possible. For example, if rats of a particular breed learn a new trick in Harvard, then rats of that breed should be able to learn the same trick faster all over the world, say in Edinburgh and Melbourne. There is already evidence from laboratory experiments (discussed in A New Science of Life) that this actually happens.”

If Sheldrake is correct then this means that we may be part of a field of consciousness that we are constantly uploading and downloading ideas to and from on an subconscious level. As such, spiritual and emotional evolution in a significant number of individuals is potentially able to filter out to others through this ‘field of resonance’ and have a positive impact on society as a whole.

How we think and act is not an isolated phenomenon and has the power to affect not only our individual lives but also has the power to influence the progress we make as a civilisation. Therefore I encourage you to take a look deep within yourself and take the steps to be the best person you can be. Through collective action and individual progress we have the power to create a beautiful world where all living creatures on Earth can live in harmony.
